Service Contracts

What Is A Service Contract and Why Do I Need One?
(our service contracts are for Windows Based systems only)

A service contract is basically a protection for the merchant in case there are issues with their equipment or software and is for a set number of months or years. Our service contracts are anywhere from 6 months to 3 years in length.

Now the big question is why do you need one. Lets keep this simple. Our service rates after an install is based at $85 an hour with a minimum of a 2 hour charge. That is $170 for a service call. If you are outside of our standard 50 mile radius (anywhere north of Marathon) it could add up. A service contract prevents excessive service fees in that we are locked in for a specific amount of time to help you through any issues with your software or equipment.

Our Service Contract Levels

We have different types of service contracts which are for service only. This is because we do not have control over the manufacturer's warranty and with our primary vendor, they offer a next business day replacement on a 3 year warranty for the entire workstation as long as all of the equipment of that workstation was purchased through them.

6-Month Service Agreement - $900.00 or 2 payments of $475 payable every 3 months. Late fee assessed if not paid within 10 days of invoice. Is payable through auto-invoicing.

Our six month service agreement includes the following:

  • Up to 8 programming change calls during the first 30 days of the site ownership (from the day the system is installed and operational). Basically 2 calls per week for the 4 week time frame.
  • Up to 3 hours per month of standard service calls during the 6 month time frame. Any time in excess of the 3 hours per month will be billed at $85 an hour during normal business hours and time and a half at $127.50 an hour for service calls outside of our normal business hours of 9:30AM to 6:00PM Monday through Thursday, Friday from 9:30AM to 4:00PM and Saturdays from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Sundays are billed at double time or $170 an hour.
  • As long as you have a service contract in place with us, you will not incur the 2 hour minimum for a service call outside of the normal business hours.
  • Includes a system cleaning every three months (blowing out the dust and cleaning of the monitor). Normal value at $40 per terminal every 3 months (2 cleanings per contract term)
  • Includes remote monitoring and software servicing as long as system remains on 24/7/365. Exceptions to this are:
    • if there is a power outage
    • a hurricane evacuation order
    • lightning strike on transformer closest to building

This agreement will be voided if there are no UPS systems on each workstation.

12-Month Service Agreement - $1,500.00 or 4 payments of $375 payable quarterly. Late fee assessed if not paid within 10 days of invoice. Is payable through auto-invoicing.

Our twelve month service agreement includes the following:

  • Up to 8 programming change calls during the first 30 days of the site ownership (from the day the system is installed and operational). Basically 2 calls per week for the 4 week time frame.
  • Up to 3 hours per month of standard service calls during the 12 month time frame. Any time in excess of the 3 hours per month will be billed at $85 an hour during normal business hours and time and a half at $127.50 an hour for service calls outside of our normal business hours of 9:30AM to 6:00PM Monday through Thursday, Friday from 9:30AM to 3:00PM and Saturdays from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Sundays are billed at double time or $170 an hour.
  • As long as you have a service contract in place with us, you will not incur the 2 hour minimum for a service call outside of the normal business hours.
  • Includes a system cleaning every three months (blowing out the dust and cleaning of the monitor). Normal value at $40 per terminal every 3 months (4 cleanings per contract term)
  • Includes remote monitoring and software servicing for the contract length as long as system remains on 24/7/365. Exceptions to this are:
    • if there is a power outage

36-Month Service Agreement - $3,600.00 or 12 payments of $325 payable quarterly. Late fee assessed if not paid within 10 days of invoice. Is payable through auto-invoicing.

Our 36 month service agreement includes the following:

  • Up to 8 programming change calls during the first 30 days of the site ownership (from the day the system is installed and operational). Basically 2 calls per week for the 4 week time frame.
  • Up to 3 hours per month of standard service calls during the 36 month time frame. Any time in excess of the 3 hours per month will be billed at $85 an hour during normal business hours and time and a half at $127.50 an hour for service calls outside of our normal business hours of 9:30AM to 6:00PM Monday through Thursday, Friday from 9:30AM to 3:00PM and Saturdays from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Sundays are billed at double time or $170 an hour.
  • As long as you have a service contract in place with us, you will not incur the 2 hour minimum for a service call outside of the normal business hours.
  • Includes a system cleaning every three months (blowing out the dust and cleaning of the monitor). Normal value at $40 per terminal every 3 months (12 cleanings per contract term)
  • Includes remote monitoring and software servicing for the contract length as long as system remains on 24/7/365. Exceptions to this are:
    • if there is a power outage
    • a hurricane evacuation order
      • We do include an emergency back-up prior to the evacuation
    • lightning strike on transformer closest to building

This agreement will be voided if there are no UPS systems on each workstation.

We will not activate any service contracts or provide any type of warranty work unless a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is on every workstation in the facility. Each UPS must be a minimum of 750VA, preferably 1,000VA to insure that every piece of equipment is covered. No type of laser printer will not be attached to such a device due to the high VA capacity of a laser printer.

If a service call is for a defective component that is under manufacturer’s warranty, and there is a next day replacement warranty in place, we will not charge you for the service call as that will be paid to us by the manufacturer.

If you are a local Monroe County business with a POS System currently in place (not purchased through us) and would like us to maintain it for you, the above Service Agreements will be 20% higher in cost.
